Ewan has been a presenter with Phonic FM since 2022. He broadcasts under the name Ewan James. When he started his show ‘Ewans mixed bag’ (further details at www.phonic.fm) he was the stations youngest presenter. From the outset he showed a willingness to learn new skills, adapt to the difficulties of working in an all- volunteer environment and develop an individual style of broadcasting. From the first show he applied himself to the issues associated with developing and producing a self – contained two hour show on a weekly basis. He has been willing to ask for advice, and as a result the show has developed its own style indelibly marked by Ewan’s unique take on the music he chooses and plays. This is set against a background where he has had to travel some distance to participate, which he has done regularly without any problems. I’d particularly commend the breadth and scope of the music that he plays with each track explained for choice and with pertinent information. He continues to hone his skills, and communication with listeners has become an integral part of what he produces. I endorse Ewan for these skills, which he has developed and polishes, and which he continues to work at, and would be happy to support any application he might choose to further his career.
